the canadian movie of all time dropped and i wanna talk about it with those who have seen it



i saw it in Music Box Theatre in chicago which is a place i've been dying to go to, it was also the theater they came to for their chicago stop during the tour. if you don't know music box has one gigantic theater and one little tiny theater and i saw it in the little tiny theater in which the intimacy made the experience a lot more fun.

also i may make a thread about the stupid shit i've been watching in the start of this year so if you're interested in that (no one is) lmk!

i was also thinking about doing a thread about ntbts lol.

i saw it the long weekend it came out at Scotiabank Theatre here in Toronto with a sizeable group of friends.
there were a lot of moments that had me and my friends whipping our heads towards each other to be greeted with the same wide-eyed grins.
great energy in that theatre.
i think one of my favourite bits was the initial trip to 2008 and the back-to-back-to-back cancelled celebrity appearances lol.

it's so good. best movie i've seen this year thus far and i have my doubts that it'll be topped.

I BEEN SAYING THIS. i had to put my ears in full focus mode in the theater while everyone was laughing to make sure that WAS the right version of the black eyed peas song i was hearing.

extremely underrated bit imo was the reveal of the whiteboard in the RV like halfway through the movie

also very good bit. i love the abundance of whiteboards in the matt johnson cinematic universe.
