Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet
Haven't tried this one in years. Saw it at the thrift for cheap so I figured why not. "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" is a classic. I first heard it as a parody in this piece of internet history. As for the rest of the album, I feel nothing particularly strongly about it. At least not on a musical level. But aesthetically, something about this album is just so damn Canadian. Feels like an early morning or late evening family car ride up to a cottage or something somewhere in the boonies. It has its moments but my copy will probably find its way back to a thrift store sometime in the future.

Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet
This one is kinda awesome. Real nice blend of contemporary downtempo/trip hop and jazzy bossa nova style. The two standouts are probably "Technova" and "Luv Connection" (both of which have awesome music videos - unfortunately the latter does the common 90s dance music video thing and doesn't actually include the real vocalists for [presumably] image reasons - Joi Cardwell and Viven Sessoms are nowhere to be seen). I will say though, I think I might prefer the radio edit of Luv Connection. There's only so much you can do with that idea over almost 8 minutes. The groove is nice but I don't know if you can really stretch it out that far without it becoming a bit tired. Overall, a real fun listen. Looking forward to checking out his second album, 'Future Listening'.
Aaand don't forget about our other weekly thread, the Skrillex Book Club! This week, we're checkin' out 'Bangarang'. Go share your thoughts!
