Placebo - Placebo
Great album this one. I wanna say it sounds ahead of its time for 1996 but I'm also not as well versed as I could be in the genre-worlds that it inhabits. There's something about this particular strain of angst that I can't help but love. Can it be cliche at points? Yes, but that just kinda comes with the territory. One of the RYM reviews says it plays out like a teenage coming of age film and I can't even disagree, I was imagining one the whole time I was listening. But in a good way. Definitely worth listening to. Will be checking out their second album soon enough.

Breaking Benjamin - Phobia
I don't have much to say about this one other than it sounds like the concept of Xbox Live. And that's...cool? I think?
Also the "NO" on Diary of Jane made me audibly snort. Benjamin cannot scream bro. But it's still kinda awesome, I can't hate.
And one more...
Beck - Midnite Vultures
I have grown more and more fond for Beck as time has gone on. This was the first Beck album I listened to like 6 years ago now per the recommendation of my friend Adam. I had not listened to it since. Found it on CD this past weekend and decided to revisit. And maaan, its a fun one. Part of it remind me of funkier cuts off Odelay. Nice, groovy, and absolutely ridiculous. I'll say the first half is definitely stronger. After 'Peaches & Cream' I kinda stop caring a little. Not perfect, but who cares.
