What have you been listening to this week?

Mainly relistens for me the past few days. I revisited:

Cibo Matto - Stereo Type A



Hadn't listened to this one in a little bit and I think I like it a bit more than I remembered. It's kinda hard to describe this album. It's got a bit of everything. It's fun, bubbly, edgy (less in the modern sense and more in the late 90s sense). Worth checking out if you haven't already. I listened to the Japanese version apparently which has the tracks 'Backseat' and 'Country', the former definitely being a highlight.

An entire album that sounds like stuff that would end up on the soundtrack to Jersey Shore. Most of its pretty trashy electro EDM slop but i'd be lying if I didn't think some of these songs didn't go hard as fuck. The cover art is a pretty good warning for what you're getting into. It's not the most graphic thing in the world but i'd figure i'd give a heads up about it.

been listening to a fuck ton of stevie wonder recently, dude makes excellent heartbreak music. last nite I listened to the debut album by a band called Ambrosia and it was super fucking weird, kinda felt like Alan Parsons but wayyyy more psychedelic/disjointed. highly recommend if progressive pop is your bag
