Can't believe it took me this long to do a full listen for this album. It's an Ed Banger classic. There's maybe a couple of tracks that are a bit too repetitive, but overall its a solid record. It's a shame this would end up being his only studio album after his tragic death in 2011. RIP.
Oh yeah and I also listened to that Air France EP. I think "Collapsing Outside Your Doorstep" and "No Excuses" are some of the most beautiful uplifting songs i've heard in my entire life. The rest of the EP is okay.

been listening to Dijon - Absolutely a lot. its like mk.gee but leaning fully into the neo-soul/alt rnb sound (the similarity is not only coincidence, dijon helped make two tracks off that mkgee record). also today I ran back the entire Pages discography, highly recommend literally all of those albums. most people (online anyways) know Pages as the ppl who made two of the samples off floral shoppe (You Need A Hero & If I Saw You Again) and although those are excellent cuts Pages' work really bears being consumed as an albums band imo. reminiscent of Steely Dan but a bit more synthy, a bit more fusion-y, leaning more into an AOR sound. this is a bit evil but I literally think I prefer Pages to Steely Dan - check out their debut album and see if you want to kill me for saying that. if you wanna just dip your toes into their shit check this one track out, the last two minutes are amazing https://open.spotify.com/track/4S1vgmvt ... aeb8c64c6c
